Our Story

It is a family affair

Dave opened the restaurant in August 2000. You will find him, his wife Marlene, their children and even some help from sisters and parents in the kitchen. Marlene is known in the community as the apple dumpling maker!

The Smith family

Competition runs in the Smith family. Dave competed on the American Pizza Team and took top prize in the Best Pizza in America Competition. He now spends part of his day tending to beehives throughout Cameron County. The harvested honey can be found on the shelves at the store and in many secret recipes! And yes he has won awards for his honey too.
